IT Support Engineer

Job Description

We are recruiting for an IT Support Engineer for a fantastic company based in Chandlers Ford. This is a diverse role working within a small but established IT Team.   It is very much a role that you can make your own and they encourage people to input new ideas so they can continuously improve. You will be expected to provide full IT support as well as being involved in a variety of projects.  Previous experience in a similar role is essential including help desk support, cloud based systems, Office 365 and cyber security systems.


The Role

This is a busy IT support role that encompasses the whole IT function.  Working in a team of 3 you will be providing helpdesk support to around 200 employees across a number of sites.   You will be expected to work independently and under your own initiative.  As well as providing support, you will ensure that the companies IT systems run smoothly as well as ordering new equipment and improving existing processes.  Main projects will include: Patch Management, Windows 10 Deployment, Cloud Migration, MDM Deployment, SIEM Deployment, Perimeter Security & WAN Management, Cyber Essentials Level 2 & ISO 27001 (Not Essential!)


The Ideal Candidate

For this role it is essential that you are a great communicator with previous experience in an IT Support role.  The ability to troubleshoot is vital as is a willingness to learn and pick up new systems.  You will also need to be able to work on your own initiative with good common sense.  Experience in a process led environment would be a distinct advantage.  You will need to have experience in the following: Office 365 / Azure, End User Engagement and Networking.
