Job Description

Experienced in working in a fast paced office environment providing a first class customer service?  Small but dynamic business, whose customer base is national supermarkets, needs someone to support their busy National Account Manager. Great varied role liaising with mix of people from experienced senior buyers through to suppliers and third party agencies.

The Role

It really is a varied and interesting role which involves communicating and providing administration support. Some of the specific tasks are as follows:

  • Processing large orders ensuring that information is accurate for suppliers and customers
  • Analysing data in Excel and preparation reports for the National Account Manager
  • Putting pricing sheets together using formulas in Excel
  • Receiving calls from buyers, acting on their requests in the absence of the National Account Manager
  • Communicating with suppliers to request samples and working closely with internal departments
  • Coordinating with marketing agencies to check and approve artwork for product marketing
  • Other ad hoc activity as required - this is a small business and everyone is very hands on

The Ideal Candidate

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel spreadsheets and Powerpoint for presentation preparation
  • Excellent time management skills as you need to work to customer led deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail for checking pricing work and artwork
  • Remains calm under pressure
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Flexible nature and can-do attitude to support and cover colleagues as required
  • Minimum A Level education
  • Full driving license as occasional travel to customers may be required
  • Experience in FMCG sector would be advantageous but not essential
