We are currently recruiting for a Payroll Supervisor to work for a company based in the Bournemouth area. This is a very busy role where you will be supervising a small team responsible for processing payroll for a large number of employees. You will be hands- on processing several high volume payrolls, resolving queries and general payroll related tasks. This is a very busy role that requires accuracy and good attention to detail. This is a busy payroll position where you will be working in a team processing payroll on a large scale for around 1000 staff members. You will be required to process a weekly payroll, including manual calculations, production of payroll reports and management information, reporting over-payments and irregularities, process new starter and leaver information and other associated administrative tasks. You will seek to maintain strong working relationships with both internal and external customers as well as supervising a small team.
The ideal candidate
To be considered for this role you need to have previous experience in computerised payroll and have a good understanding of payroll processes, including Tax/NI/Statutory Payments and regulations. You will be processing payroll on a large scale so experience of operating in a payroll function at a similar level would be preferred. You will need to understand the importance of confidentiality and be able to display a high level of diplomacy and patience. Good problem solving skills, high attention to detail and a flexible approach are vital for this role.
