We are currently recruiting for a Production Planner to work for a global company within the manufacturing/engineering sector. This is a very busy role where you will be working within a small planning team responsible for both short term and long term forecasting of production requirements and developing plans to ensure objectives are met. This is a very fast paced environment that requires the ability to prioritise and multi-task.

This is a busy production planning role in which you will be responsible for managing the company’s ability to buy, manufacture and deliver products during all phases of the lifecycle: development, maturity, and withdrawal.
The role includes responsibility for inventory planning and inventory forecasting through forecasting & modelling, and for generating production capacity data, ensuring that any over or under capacity forecasts are highlighted and resolved.
The Ideal Candidate
To be considered for this role, you need to have excellent analytical skills with good attention to detail and come from a similar planning position. You must be confident liaising with a wide range of people and have effective communication and influencing skills. You will need to be comfortable taking responsibility and driving the supply chain forward. The ability to work with technical systems and a strong level of MS Excel is essential.
